
Far North Invitational Activities:
- Signed Portland Timbers & Portland Thorns Jersey Raffle & 50/50 Split-the-Pot Raffle, get your raffle tickets at the HQ tent, $5/ticket or 5 tickets for $20, the drawing will be held during the closing ceremony.
- Kick Hunger to the Curb with the Far North Food Drive. Bring a can, boxed, or jarred item to donate to the Food Bank of AK to play in the 1v1 Arena or Soccer Tennis. We encourage all athletes to help our local families in need by bringing a non-perishable food item to the headquarter tent during Far North.
- Every Coach will nominate a "North Star" of the tournament that will be honored at the Closing Ceremony. Coaches turn in the name of your North Star to the HQ tent by Saturday at 8:00 pm. Coaches will select 1 player from their team as their North Star. Coaches will choose this player at their discretion based on attitude, effort, or performance.
- The Spirit of the North Award is the Sportsmanship Award for the Far North Invitational. This award will be given to 1 team in the Boys division and to 1 team in the Girls division that stands out by showing respect to the game and one's opponents.
- Orthopedic Physicians Alaska will be providing Athletic Trainers to assist Far North athletes throughout Far North. Look for the OPA tent next to Headquarters.
- The Closing Ceremony will take place from on Sunday afternoon directly following the U19 Boys Championship game at the ConocoPhillips Soccer Stadium. Come early to the ceremony and watch some soccer!
- During the Closing Ceremony; First place teams from every age group will receive their trophy, First and second place teams will pick up their medals, Under 8, Under 9 & Under 10 teams will pick up the participation medals, Tournament North Stars will be announced for every team, the Spirit of the North awards will be announced. Signed Jersey raffle tickets and Split the Pot ticket will be drawn at the end of the closing ceremony.
