Sterling Performance Camp

The Sterling Camp has been canceled for 2021, please read the message below from Sterling Nabours, the Sterling Performance Camp Director...

Dear Sterling Camp participants,

It is with great sadness that we will have to cancel this year’s Sterling Performance camp. We were so excited to be returning to camp after all that has happened over the last year, but things are still lagging a bit behind in returning to “normal”.

I apologize for the late notice but we have been working on our end to still put this together as we have in years past. Even up until this last weekend we were still optimistic about being able to have the staff to help run the camp.

As with many things that are opening back up, there are new struggles, we too had some struggles this year. We have had a very difficult time finding staff due to various circumstances, ranging from COVID, to job changes, to financial struggles and even injuries. Many coaches are sticking closer to home and so I have been unable to get the staff numbers that I have had in the past.

I wish there was a way to make it work but Coach Emily and I have tried various ways to work this out over the last few weeks.

Again I am very sorry for the late notification, we appreciate your willingness to attend our camp and for our past participants for your eagerness to return to camp.

We do anticipate returning if you will have us back, Coach Emily and I have already begun talks to secure time, dates, and staff for next year. We hope that we can return with our full force and energy next summer.

Thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you next year.
